How It Works

Students choose classes that best suit their needs from a catalogue of live online courses that are already pre-screened for content and instruction quality. These live, synchronous classes take place within the school day. 

The school provides a communal space (e.g., library, study hall, etc.) with an in-person staff member ("the learning coach") to circulate and support the students. Schools can determine whether students in the space are taking different classes or the same class based on their need and interests. 

For three days a week, students engage in live, synchronous classes taught by highly-effective online teachers. On the other two days, students have access to small group support or office hours provided by the online teacher and/or teaching assistant, as well as in-person support from the learning coach, who will also take daily attendance and communicate with the Stepmojo team and teachers to ensure students success.
